It is truly amazing to me the lack of talent that Saturday Night Live "chooses" in their musical guests! Take for instance this last Saturday night. Improved comedy...great guest host (Rosario Dawson) and pathetic musical talent.
Care to hear some real talent? Go to the I-Tunes Store and enter Radstarr in the search box on the upper right hand side....or just go to the Radstarr link on the left side of this page.

A Hero on the Hudson...........
As incredible as U.S. Air Flight 1549 landing safely after ditching in the Hudson River might be it seems curious to me to what degree the media took this and ran with it. We have even become so familiar with the pilot that we refer to him by his nickname! Yes..."Sully" has become an icon without even a soundbyte for us to latch onto.
Might it be that the entire event is, in fact, a metaphor for us all as we hear the engines of the world economy coming to a grinding halt with no assurance that we might all become victims of this catastrophic event? Could it be that all of the hopes and dreams that we are placing with our new president are not simply a pipe dream? "Yeah...the plane is going down" and "Yeah, we need to brace for impact but in the end by the grace of God and a good pilot we may all come out of this alive". Hmmmm...something to think about.

"This isn't your run-of-the-mill recession," says acting director of the Congressional Budget Office.
Hmmm….that does not sound like good news, does it? Well what I want to know is: If President Bush is leaving office with a budget deficit of over 1 trillion dollars just what does that number look like? I mean it is fine to throw numbers around like $700 billion for government bailout or $455 billion reflecting last years' record breaking budget deficit or even $857 billion which is what the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have cost so far. But just exactly does the number 1 trillion look like?
Well…it kind of looks like this: $1,000,000,000,000
which is less than $999,999,999,999.
But not as big as $10,600,000,000,000
which is the total amount of U.S. debt we will owe by the time President Bush leaves office.

News Flash: Raul Castro: "Obama has awakened Excessive Hopes"
Well thanks for the insight, Raul! Just wondering if you might know a thing or two about "awakening excessive hopes".... as in the failure of a revolution to create a society that lives up to its aspirations? Yet, there is something earnest and forthright in your addressing the impact of our President Elect on the eve of his inauguration: "Because even if he's an honest man -- and I believe he is -- a sincere man -- and I believe he is -- one man alone cannot change the destiny of a country and much less the United States..." So true! Let's just hope that your dire prediction that "the U.S. treatment of Cuba.... [will be] 50 years more of 'incessant struggle' with an 'enemy' that 'will never cease to be aggressive, treacherous and dominant" does not become a self fullfilling prophecy.
